Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") set out the conditions for using the online dictionary service "Uyghur Dictionary" (the "Service") provided by Kenjisoft ("we" or "us").

Anyone using the Service (a "User") must agree to these Terms before doing so. Using the Service is taken as agreement to these Terms.

In these Terms, the following words have the meanings given below.

1. Service: The Uyghur dictionary provided by us, together with its related features.
2. User: Any individual or organisation that accesses the Service or uses its features.
3. Registered User: A User who has registered an account on the Service and keeps it active.
4. Content: All vocabulary data, examples, explanations, audio, images and code contained in the Service.

To become a Registered User, you must register an email address and a password by the procedure we specify.

1. Keep your registration details accurate and up to date.
2. You are responsible for looking after your password, and must not share it with anyone else.
3. If we suspect an account is being misused, we may suspend it without prior notice.
4. You may delete your own account at any time. What happens to your data on deletion is set out in the Privacy Policy.

The Service is free to use for educational purposes and for your own personal study.

Commercial use — for example, harvesting the Content in bulk and reusing it in another service — requires our separate written permission.

When using the Service, you must not:

1. break the law or act against public order and decency;
2. infringe the intellectual property, reputation or privacy of us or of anyone else;
3. interfere with the running of the Service, including excessive automated access, scraping and denial-of-service attacks;
4. gain unauthorised access, or misuse another person's account;
5. analyse the Service's source code or internal structure in order to build a competing service;
6. do anything else we judge to be inappropriate.

Copyright, trademark and other intellectual property rights in the Service and its Content belong to us, or to the third parties who hold those rights.

For anything you submit to us through Feedback, you grant us permission to use it as far as is needed to improve and publish the Service.

The Content is compiled from linguistic sources under the supervision of native speakers. Machine generation assists that compilation; its output is checked before inclusion, and that checking is an ongoing process.

If you find an error, please tell us through Feedback. We revise the dictionary as reports come in and improve its quality edition by edition.

We do not warrant that the Content is accurate, complete or current.

We accept no liability for any loss suffered by a User or a third party arising from use of the Service, or from being unable to use it — except where the loss is caused by our intent or gross negligence.

The Service may be interrupted or discontinued without notice. We are not liable for loss arising from that.

We may change, add to or remove parts of the Service without giving Users prior notice.

If we close the Service, we will try to announce it in advance wherever we can, though urgent circumstances may make that impossible.

We may revise these Terms when needed. For significant changes we will post a notice on the Service or send an email.

Revised Terms apply from the effective date we set. If you use the Service on or after that date, you are taken to have agreed to the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by Japanese law.

If a dispute arises between us and a User in connection with the Service, the court with jurisdiction over our place of business shall be the exclusive court of first instance.
