杼

機織りで横糸を縦糸の間に通す道具。両端が細く中央が太い。ミシンの下糸を上に送る小さな糸巻き状の部品も指す。

A weaving tool that carries the weft through the warp, thin at both ends and thicker in the middle; also the small bobbin-like part of a sewing machine that brings up the lower thread.
